APPLICATION DEADLINE: Scholarships for High School Seniors

Once again, the Wind Lake Lions club is offering four $1000.00 scholarships to high school seniors living in the Town of Norway. The winners are selected from applicants attending Muskego High School and Waterford High School. Students who plan to attend any 2-year or 4-year program at a college, university, or technical school in the 2009-2010 academic year may apply. Applications are available at the schools’ guidance office. The deadline for applying for these scholarships is Thursday, April 30, 2009.

The Wisconsin Lions Eyeglass Recycling Center is always in need of used eyeglasses and hearing aids. By taking the time to give us your unwanted glasses and hearing aids, you help improve the life of someone in need. Look for collection boxes at public places in Wind Lake or call Lion Bob at 895-2418.

SAVE THE DATE! The Lions Club’s Car Show, Chicken Barbecue & Arts/Craft Fair is on Sunday, June 28, 2009.

The Wind Lake Lions Club extends a special invitation to the township residents and businesses that support our annual triple event each year. Each year this event gives the club an opportunity to raise funds for causes such as the scholarships awarded to local high school seniors.

The Lions’ annual Arts & Crafts Fair held in conjunction with their Chicken Barbecue and Car Show on June 28th, 2009 needs more artists and crafters. Early registrations will receive a discount.
